In an economic sense, heartwater disease is the most important tick-borne faced by South African livestock farmers. Methods to control vary among farmers, and preferred method depends on prevalence of in a specific area. The cost-effectiveness different acaricide prevention methods against has not yet been determined amongst producers. study’s objective was determine used Africa. Data for this study were collected through survey structured questionnaires from 272 commercial farmers Cost-effectiveness analyses done spray, plunge, pour-on application methods. For sheep cattle, plunge proved be cost-effective all provinces goats, cost-effective. recommends that extension activities provide with information which choose appropriate effective sustainable disease.
